Prawn cocktail is a retro classic that always stands the test of time. The creamy Marie Rose sauce is made from store cupboard ingredients so is perfect for a budget-friendly starter that still feels like a treat.

250 g mayonnaise
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp Tabasco
1 lemon, juiced
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
10 g fresh rocket leaves, washed and finely chopped
660 g cooked prawns
1 cos lettuce, leaved separated, washed and shredded
1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup.
Add the Tabasco, then stir in the lemon juice and rocket leaves until well combined. Season to taste. Stir in the cooked prawns, reserving 4 to garnish.
Divide the shredded lettuce between glass dishes. Top with the prawn cocktail mixture and garnish each with a prawn and pepper.
